COMPOSITION * EXPERIMENTAL * FESTIVALThe National Day of the Composer, unique in Europe, will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Composers and their audiences will be put in the spotlight. The purpose of this day is to make new music and sound art accessible to a wide audience, celebrate these art forms and gather input from visitors.
There is also plenty to experience in Limburg. CoMA Maastricht, Ensemble 88, Ensemble Hopper, Maastricht Composers, Limburg Composers, Maastricht city composer Hans Leenders and Heerlen city composer Angela de Weier are joining forces to present an inspiring program in Maastricht and Heerlen.
The program consists of performances, workshops and publicly accessible organ soundscapes at various locations.
Intro in Situ has worked closely with New Music NOW, the national umbrella for Dutch composers of contemporary music, for the Day of the Composer.
