Workshop on Composing - Truls Stritzel, Willie Arets

Truls Stritzel and Willie Arets will give a composing workshop. Short motifs, conceived by the participants, will be listened to and analyzed. Together with the composers, these motifs are explored and adapted. Then they are put together and structured. With this material we will compose a new piece of music together that will also be performed immediately .

Truls Stritzel, Studied in Maastricht at the conservatory
school music. There he was able to develop into a versatile and widely employable musician and teacher. After his training he went to work at various elementary school in Parkstad and the Hill Country and is now working at a gymnasium in Heinsberg (Germany). He has also been active as a DJ and producer for 9 years ,focusing on the style Drum and Bass.

Willie Arets studied school music and accordion at the conservatory in the past. He was a teacher of music and ckv in
Maastricht for many years. Since his love went to composition, he did a master “composition” in 2016, which he passed in 2019. Since then he has created numerous compositions for various line-ups. Work of his is regularly performed.
