Intro x Cultura Nova: Public Attention
SOUNDS OF PROTEST * AUDIO/VISUAL * SIREN
Public Attention is an audiovisual performance built from video and audio recordings gathered in and around political assemblies. Projected footage and surround sound intersect live vocals and rhythms, electronic compositions and a siren. Moving between protest sound practices and the technologies that attempt to contain them, the work asks how collective sound can mobilise presence and produce shared attention.
