Since its founding in 1984, Intro in Situ has offered space for the development of music and sound art. Unknown, soon loved, that is what Intro in Situ is committed to. In addition to providing a platform, it supports makers in their artistic and substantive development through coaching or support in their (im)material needs. In 2024, Intro in Situ will appropriately celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Due to the expiry of the term of the current chairman and to strengthen the current board, Intro in Situ is looking for two new board members, including a chairman, with the following areas of focus:

  1. a board member with knowledge of the (broad) cultural field in Limburg and (inter)nationally, possibly supplemented with knowledge of strategic communication;
  2. a board member with a network in the cultural, institutional and political-administrative fields.

The board colleague we are looking for:
  • has experience or affinity with remote supervision or management, without losing involvement;
  • has an affinity with the work of Intro In Situ, with a feeling for the context and the vulnerability of a small (niche) institution with a national support base within which Intro In Situ operates;
  • has strategic thinking skills;
  • has a sense of social responsibility and a highly developed sense of norms;
  • has sufficient time and is a team player.

Although the board is a foundation board, its operation is more similar to that of a Supervisory Board. Various management tasks have been delegated to the director of Intro In Situ. The number of meetings is approximately 6 to 7 per year. In 2024, the year in which a Basic Infrastructure Application (BIS) is submitted and Intro in Situ celebrates its 40th anniversary, an additional call will be made on the board.

The board is responsible for the quality, operation and implementation of Intro In Situ. In discharging its duties, the board focuses on the interests of the organization. The board provides guidance to the director, but acts more as an advisor, acts collegially towards him, her or them and is also an advisory body for the director.

The profile sketch is based on the principles of the Culture Governance Code. One of these principles is that the board must be prevented from having a one-sided composition, despite the possible individual suitability of each of the members.

REMUNERATION OF BOARD MEMBERS
The members of the board do not receive any remuneration. However, travel and expense reimbursement is possible based on actual costs incurred.

RECRUITMENT AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
We would like to receive your motivation and CV before December 15, 2023 via tonharmes51@gmail.com and addressed to the board of Intro In Situ. You will receive a confirmation of receipt. The selection based on motivation and CV is made by the board. If you proceed further in the procedure, we will invite you for discussions with the board or a representative. The conversations will take place in November and December. This will be followed by an introductory meeting with the director. Upon completion of the procedure, a Certificate of Good Conduct will be requested and, in consultation, possibly also references.
