The exact actions of Wukir Surjadi remain a mystery to us, perhaps he likes it that way. Building instruments for a theatrical ruckus, this self-proclaimed wizard is coming to Intro in Situ to bring us a big surprise.

Hailing from Malang, East Java (Indonesia), composer and instrument builder Wukir Suryadi fuses ancient Javanese tradition with contemporary music (from the Indonesian band Senyawa). Joined by Caribbean beatboxer DavidX and DJ & VJ Madame Macario, a quadraphonic freakshow will take place: peaceful meditations merge into noisy, rhythmical frenzies. In their own words: “Expect the worst to enjoy the best!”

In addition to the performance by Wukir Suryadi & déjàVU?, there will also be a workshop by Wukir Suryadi (instrument building) & DavidX (beatbox). The workshops will take place between 19:00 and 20:00.
