A 2,700-kilometer cycling journey, concerts in twenty European cities, and compositions inspired by the sounds of ancient trees from those same cities? It might sound like fiction, but acclaimed British composer Graham Fitkin is making it a reality.

His project, Treeline, transforms the hidden sounds of trees into a unique, contemporary composition.

Fitkin worked with local residents in each city to record trees using special sensors and microphones, capturing their internal, inaudible sounds. On July 8, 2026, his epic cycling adventure brings him to Maastricht, where a centuries-old giant redwood contributed its sounds to TREELINE. Intro invites young creators to join Fitkin in celebrating the profound connection between humans and ancient nature.
