COLONIAL MEMORY * POETRY * QUARTET
TICKETS
19:30   20:30
Cellebroederskapel, Maastricht

Presenting the seed as a symbol of both trauma and transformation, Seeds Quartet seeks to evoke colonial memory and spiritual endurance, exploring themes of survival, faith, and the interconnectedness of all things.

Rooted in poetry, the group draws inspiration from the Persian poet and Sufi mystic Rumi—specifically his piece The Seed Market—as well as an original poem by Tamara, centered on a nearly forgotten African rice variety with deep cultural significance.

Seeds Quartet is composed of Tamara Walcott (vocals, cello), Rasha Ragab (vocals), Christoph Nicolaus (Stone Harp), and Lucio Capece (bass clarinet, compositions).
