Intro in Situ is back for the 9th edition of Museumnacht Maastricht at the world’s most beautiful bookstore (according to the Guardian) Boekhandel Dominicanen, with a night themed 'The 9 Follies of Dominicanen'!

Experience multiple performances featuring music from Amin Ebrahimi's saxophone cycle Persians Make Walls of Bricks, interpreted by saxophonist Nuno Silva, interwoven with texts by author and philosopher Govert Derix, inspired by his book In Praise of Social Folly.


Madness will also pop up throughout the bookstore with sounds by former Intro resident Julia Warren and a very special guest!

Julia Warren is versatile saxophonist and composer. She has lived in Maastricht for a number of years and has since drawn inspiration from local history: Mosasaurus, St. Servaas & associated hymns, prehistoric, geological history. Overarching concepts are questions like: What is home? Where do I belong? Why do people need a home? As a newcomer, how do you relate to an environment?

She has extensive experience performing humorously, improvisationally and interactively in public spaces.
