PERFORMANCES * JAZZ * ADVENTUROUS Intro in Situ is celebrating the tenth anniversary of Maastricht Museum Night in collaboration with Boekhandel Dominicanen, featuring performances by Carmela Michailidis, Michiel Romme and Charlotte Haesen.
Carmela Michailidis - Licking the Fingers of Your Fire Floor
Intro in Situ has invited Carmela Michailidis (she/they) to perform their work, Licking the Fingers of Your Fire Floor, a version created especially for Maastricht Museum Night. A manifesto – in the form of a poetry collection – about a more flexible world in which people can live freely, without social expectations and prejudices.
Visitors can expect a multidisciplinary performance within a series of living paintings, in which sound and movement combine to create abstract worlds.
Michiel Romme will also be exhibiting graphic collages and reciting his own poetry. Charlotte Heasen will be performing jazz and neo-soul-inspired music with her five-piece band.
Throughout the night, cultural venues will stay open late, offering workshops, performances, exhibitions, film, food, music and dance. Intro, in collaboration with the world’s most beautiful bookshop, presents a surprising programme of experimental music, literature and improvisation.
