Gabiroba
INSTALLATION * OPEN SCORE * SOUND SPACE Everyone is welcome to visit the installation as often and for as long as they wish, during opening hours, with the music sounding over speakers. Live performances of the music will take place July 17 and 22 by a quartet featuring Marcus Kaiser (DE, cello), Marielle Groven (CA/NL, violin), Seamus Cater (UK/NL, concertina) and Sijstermans herself on clarinet.
The Textiles Zentrum Haslach is a museum of textile art and history, in a region where the linen industry dominated for centuries. Gabiroba can be visited during the European Textile Network's summer symposium, which is taking place in Haslach this year.
This production is made possible in part by the Performing Arts Fund and Textiles Zentrum Haslach.
