Ensemble88 New Year's concert
In this concert, Ensemble88 bridges the gap between late 16th-century Baroque music and contemporary influences by working with live electronics. Central to the programme is the remarkable triple harp, played by Belgian harpist Lise Vandersmissen.
The Baroque solo works for triple harp follow a historical thread. Within this framework, new compositions by KL-EX composers Wolfgang Delnui, Paul Pankert and Christian Klinkenberg — in combination with flute, percussion and live electronics — bring together old and new.
Ensemble 88 is a professional ensemble for contemporary chamber music, which realises innovative projects from Maastricht through collaboration with composers and crossovers.
