Echoes of the Meuse-Rhine
Echoes of the Meuse-Rhine is a composition project centered on heritage and spatial sound. Together with Ensemble Hopper, Centre Henri Pousseur, and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, we are offering regional composers a unique opportunity to write a piece that combines spatial sound with electronics.
The compositions will be performed in the spring of 2027 by Ensemble Hopper at various heritage locations throughout the Meuse-Rhine Euregio. Six students will be selected from the conservatories of Maastricht, Liège, and Aachen. One composer will be nominated by Intro In Situ, and we are also offering two wildcards for young composers from the region.
