The trio airkeychains plays experimental, free improvisation, combined with contrasting, recorded musical materials. The musicians strive to connect the chosen materials by creating a continuous performance, a sonic journey through different emotions and perspectives, creating new musical forms each time.

Their sound, form, harmony and content is the result of in-depth research that pushes the boundaries of their instruments and musical backgrounds. They want to surprise each other and the listener, while connecting contrasting musical materials, resulting in new, non-hierarchical musical forms.

The trio explores counterpoint in an extensive manner, interweaving contrasting lines. Non-musical sounds are used as musical elements, which opens doors to new soundscapes and emotions. Spectralism is explored on several levels, through the use of new instrumental techniques (such as multiphonics and microtones, the use of a saxophone mouthpiece on the euphonium and playing the saxophone without a mouthpiece).

Airkeychains strives for a deep connection with the audience and sees it as a source of inspiration. Their concerts usually start with silence, using the subtle sounds of the hall and audience, and gradually delve into the listener's side. Their mission is to make listeners feel involved in their performance.

The airkeychains trio was founded in 2022 in Vilnius (LT) and consists of:
Gregory Horoneko, BLR, soprano saxophone and alto sax
Francesca Fantini, IT, alto sax and tenor sax
Danielius Daubaras, LT, euphonium
