KlankKunst is als kunstvorm nog steeds moeilijk te plaatsen. Leunt ze nu meer aan bij de beeldende kunst, het theater, de film of toch bij de muziek? Vanwege het ongrijpbare karakter wordt deze kunst vaak gepresenteerd ‘in de marge van’. Zoniet tijdens de Best before… Euregional Sound Art Tour.In navolging van 10 jaar KunstTour afgelopen mei presenteren ART2Connect en Intro in situ in demaand november deel 2 van deze Sound Art Tour. Deze tour zal worden begeleid door de uitgave van de Best before… Sound Letters 18 x 100 sec. cd. Op vijf locaties in de Euregio zijn er in de maand november KlankKunst performances en installaties te aanschouwen en te horen. De klanklijnen meanderen door de Euregio via Atelierhaus Aachen, kuS+(h)ear Heerlen, StadsLab Sittard-Geleen, De Gregorio / Gelatine Fabriek Hasselt naar Intro in situ Maastricht. Op zondag 29 november vindt bij Intro in situ de ‘Best before…the end’ finissage en de cd presentatie plaats.
Within the broader field of arts it still is difficult to signify Sound Art. Can we consider this form of art being more related to visual arts, theatre, movie or is it still a kind of music? Because of its indefinable nature, Sound Art is often presented on the fringe. It is now during the Best before… Euregional sound art tour that sound art is put in the limelight. As a sequel of the Art Tour, ART2Connect and Intro in situ present the Euregional Sound Art Tour (part 2) and the Best before… Sound Letters 18 x 100 sec. cd. During the whole month of November everybody is invited to come and hear / see the soundscapes and performances at five locations in the Euregio. The arches of sound will meander through the Euregio from Atelierhaus Aachen, kuS+(h)ear Heerlen, StadsLab Sittard-Geleen, De Gregorio Architects / Gelatine Fabriek Hasselt towards Intro in situ Maastricht. On the 29th of November, at Intro in situ, the grand finale will take place and the Best before… cd will be released.
